It is a true honor to launch the SHE RECOVERS Movement in Kenya and embark on a journey of empowering women in recovery.
SHE RECOVERS is not just a movement—it’s a collective of women redefining recovery, inspiring hope, ending stigma, and supporting one another as we heal.
We are all recovering from something. Whether it’s trauma, substance use, mental health issues, or life’s many challenges, recovery is not a solitary experience. You don’t have to recover alone. SHE RECOVERS seeks to create a community where women support one another on the journey to wholeness.
This launch is a testament to the strength and solidarity found in addiction recovery. Empower Her Recovery: She Recovers! What a GREAT way to celebrate #NationalRecoveryMonth! ????
We were honored to have guest speakers who shared their lived experiences in recovery. Madam Anne Mathu, Vice Chair of NACADA and a recovery champion with 20 years of uninterrupted recovery, was our esteemed chief guest. We were also graced by Ms. Pamela Kaithuru, President of ISSUP Kenya Chapter, whose insights added immense value to the event.
The occasion was further made special by the presence of ladies we have successfully treated and discharged into society, along with their supportive families, reminding us all that recovery is possible and is a path to reclaiming our lives with purpose and grace. Together, we shared wisdom, celebrated progress, and uplifted one another.
A huge thank you to all our stakeholders and my incredible team for creating such a transformative space for women in recovery.
